Me - Mika Tanninen
Hello there stranger! If you really want to know me, I would strongly suggest hooking up with me on Facebook, as I am not updating my stuff here that often - but since you are here already, I might give you a brief introduction of myself.
I was born in Finland in 1977. You know, the golden year when the first ever Star Wars movie came out, Voyager I and Voyager II space crafts were launched, Panama got back their Canal and Apple II computers went on sale.
I lived my life just as any normal child in Finland does - nothing special there. I think the most influencing moment in my youth was when I was begging to get Commandore 64 - you know the PlayStation of that era - and I got Sharp MZ-800 Personal Computer instead. Yeah, thanks dad! So, instead of sharing games with my friends I was just stuck with a computer that had few boring games and a thick book about Basic programming language. I think you can guess rest of the story... Others were playing games - I was programming my own.
Since then, many years have passed. I worked in different kind of developer roles in Finland for 8 years and graduated as Master of Science from University of Helsinki, Department of Computer Science in 2005 before we decided to move to Malta with Tia in 2008. We currently live in St. Julian's and we are quite happy with this Mediterranean climate. Currently I work as Head of IT for iGame - a gaming company based in Malta and Estonia.
In case you’re interested in doing business with me, you might want to check out the boring stuff, like my CV below or my LinkedIn profile (that I’m really lazy to update). If you’re really interested, please ask me for logins to check out my technical portfolio that contains a bit more geeky stuff from my history.
